hypnosisHypnosis is a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention. It is like using a magnifying glass to focus the rays of the sun and make them more powerful. Similarly, when our minds are concentrated and focused, we are able to use our minds more powerfully.

During hypnosis the body goes into a deep, trance-like state of relaxation whilst the subconscious mind – also called unconscious mind -  becomes more and more alert and susceptive to positive suggestions. Emotions and memories are stored in the unconscious mind. During the hypnotic trance state this part of our mind opens up,  ready to release the trauma of painful memories with the help of positive suggestions, to change unhealthy beliefs and habits, to create new behaviours and positive changes as agreed upon during consultation.

Because hypnosis allows people to use more of their potential, learning self-hypnosis is the ultimate act of self-control.
